Transportation Evolved
If you’re still driving a gas guzzler, then it’s time to re-think your situation.
Now, more than ever, we are cognizant of the fact that our actions have a direct impact on the environment, meaning we must make conscious decisions to make our effect as minimal as possible. The way we get from point A to point B is one way we can decrease our carbon footprint by choosing alternative means of transportation. Here are a few that
are available to you:
- Public Transportation: There are plenty of ways to get around Charlotte without a car of your own!
- Hybrid / Smart Cars: Car manufacturers are finally coming around to the idea that we need better, lower impact vehicles. These two types of vehicles provide you with all the convenience of your traditional car, and have the ability to get much better gas mileage.

Recycle Your Cooking Oil

It’s the holidays and that means a lot of cooking, but to do that cooking you need a lot of cooking oil. My mother used to place her used cooking oil in a cup or another container for later use.
If you do not want to save it for later use, then you should recycle it. No matter what you do, make sure that you do not pour down the drain. This can cause havoc on the water system and pipes.
Find where you can properly recycle your cooking oil here.
