Are you looking for a summer challenge? Are you ready for the race of your life?
Coming to Charlotte–August 28, 2010–is the famous (and exhausting) Metro Dash.
Unlike any other street race, Metro Dash runners are challenged beyond bodily belief, not only with running the downtown streets of Charlotte but also with other physical challenges they’ll face along the way.
Workout stations and runner challenge points include:
- Tabata Challenge –A 4 minute training cycle of 20 seconds of maximum effort followed by 10 seconds of rest.
- Stair Climb – Run up and down what would be the equivalent of a 15-story office building, possibly carrying a 10lb weight with you.
- The Gauntlet -An urban obstacle course with tractor tires, a low crawl, and an 8 foot wall.
Metro Dash Registration is $60 for individuals and is open to anyone 18 and over. Metro Dash is limited to a field of 200 runners, so don’t wait too late to register if you think you have what it takes.
See you at the finish line!
